Connect Wallu to your Telegram chats and groups to provide intelligent support responses. The Wallu Telegram bot uses your knowledge base to automatically respond to questions and inquiries.

Setting Up Wallu in Telegram​

Step 1: Add the Bot to Telegram​

  1. Visit wallubot.com/telegram to add the official Wallu Telegram bot to your chat or group.
  2. For groups: After clicking the link, select the group where you want to add Wallu.

Step 2: Get Your API Key​

  1. Log in to your Wallu dashboard at panel.wallubot.com
  2. Navigate to the Addons section at panel.wallubot.com/addons
  3. Copy your Wallu API key from this page

Step 3: Configure the Bot​

  1. In your Telegram chat or group where you added the bot, type the command: /wallu_setup
    • Note: This command can only be used by group administrators
  2. The bot will guide you through the setup process
  3. When prompted, paste your Wallu API key that you copied earlier
  4. Follow any additional instructions provided by the bot to complete setup

Step 4: Verify Bot Permissions (For Groups)​

For the bot to work in Telegram groups, ensure the bot has the proper permissions:

  1. Open your Telegram group
  2. Click on the group name at the top
  3. Select "Members"
  4. Find "Wallu" in the members list and click on it
  5. Under "User permissions", make sure it has:
    • Access to messages (should say "has access to messages")
    • Permission to send messages

Using the Bot​

Once set up, the bot will automatically respond to questions in your chat or group. By default, it uses your server's default settings from Wallu. You can customize how the bot responds by configuring Telegram groups in the Channels page of your Wallu dashboard by searching "Addon" or the group name.

Available Commands​

  • /wallu_help - Shows help information and usage tips
  • /wallu_setup - Configure or reconfigure the bot (admin only)
  • /wallu_status - Check the current status of your bot configuration (admin only)
  • /wallu_remove - Remove the bot configuration (admin only)

Troubleshooting​

Bot Not Responding?​

If the bot isn't responding to messages, try these steps:

  1. Check the bot's status with /wallu_status to ensure it's properly configured
  2. Verify that you've set up the Wallu API key correctly
  3. For groups, check that the bot has the necessary permissions (see Step 4 above)
  4. Make sure your Wallu account is active and has available credits
