Introduction to Wallu
What is Wallu?
Wallu is an AI-powered chatbot that automates customer support on your Discord server. It acts like a 24/7 staff member, answering your community's questions from your own documentation, websites, channels and FAQs. This saves your team time and reduces support load.
You manage Wallu's knowledge and behavior from an easy-to-use admin panel - or right inside Discord with the Setup Agent.

Quick Start Guide
Step 1: Invite Wallu
- Visit wallubot.com/invite and add Wallu to your server.
- Type
!walluin any channel to confirm it can read and send messages. - If Wallu has the "Manage Channels" permission, it creates a private #wallu-setup channel. You can set up most things just by chatting with the Setup Agent there - or use the admin panel.
Step 2: Choose how Wallu answers
Pick the mode that fits your server (you can combine them per channel):
- Dedicated Support Channel - one channel (e.g.
#ask-ai) where Wallu answers everything. - Answer in All Channels - Wallu watches your channels and jumps in only when confident.
- Ticket Automation - Wallu handles support tickets and escalates to staff when needed.
Step 3: Give Wallu knowledge
- Import a website - point Wallu at your docs or help center.
- Use a #wallu-knowledge channel - the easiest way to keep answers fresh: staff post answers in a channel and Wallu learns from it.
- Add a few FAQs (optional) - handy for exact, hand-written answers.
Step 4: Tune it
Ask a question in Discord, then refine: pick who and when it answers, set its tone, and check what people actually asked in Insights.
