Plain text documents are text files that you upload or copy-paste into Wallu.
Adding a plain text document
- Go to the Documents page in the admin panel
- Click "Add new document" and select "Add text document"
- Paste the text content into the "Text" field
- You can also configure which channels the document should be used in.
- You can use the "Description" field to add links to find more information. If the bot often misunderstands this document, you can clarify it here. Whenever the document is used, the bot will always receive the description.
- Click "Save"
Tips for plain text documents
Avoid information that gets outdated: If you have information that changes frequently, it's better to link to a website or reformat the document to link to the proper site. For example, instead of listing all your plans and prices, add "You can read about our subscription plan details and pricing here: https://example.com/pricing" or use FAQs.
Optimal formatting: use full sentences and paragraphs. Avoid tables, lists with short elements and extra new lines between items in lists.
danger
Bad example document:
Plans
Premium
$5/m
(currently 20% off)
Features: community support
Enterprise
$100/m
(currently 15% off)
Features: priority support

This is bad because:
- It contains easily outdated information (the discounts)
- Does not use full sentences and paragraphs and uses poor formatting (tons of new lines with not much context)
- The AI and search will have a hard time finding the relevant information and understanding it.
success
Good example document:
We offer two plans: Premium ($5 per month) and Enterprise ($100 per month).
