Credits & Usage

Every plan comes with a monthly pool of credits. Answering a question, searching the web or reading a screenshot spends some of them. You can see what's left, and what it went on, on your dashboard.

What spends credits

  • Answers. By far the biggest share. A normal answer costs a fraction of what heavier features do.
  • The AI model you pick. Each model costs a different amount per answer. Lite is the baseline (x1) and Advanced is a heavier model that costs more, with pinned models like GPT-5 higher again. The AI model setting shows the current multiplier next to every option - always read it there rather than memorising a number, because we swap the models behind Lite and Advanced as better ones ship and the multipliers move with them.
  • Web search - every search costs, including the ones that find nothing.
  • Images and screenshots - image analysis and OCR, especially OCR on all messages in a busy server.
  • Tools like /summarize and /translate, FAQ importing, and PDF imports.

Importing and re-syncing website or Discord documents doesn't spend credits (PDF imports do, since the pages have to be read as images). What limits those is your plan instead: how many documents, FAQs and messages it covers.

Keeping usage sensible

  • Enable web search and OCR only in the channels that need them.
  • Stay on Lite, Advanced or Auto. We keep those pointed at the best-value model available and update them as better ones ship, so you don't have to follow model releases - a model you pin yourself stays on that model (and its price) until you change it. Auto answers with the cheap model and escalates only the hard questions.
  • Prefer good documents over a higher Document Search Depth - depth costs credits on every question, better content doesn't.
  • Keep Answer Every Message to dedicated channels. In a busy #general it would answer everything, including "lol".

Free credits: refer another server

Sharing your referral link https://wallubot.com?r=<your server id> gets 50,000 non-expiring credits for both servers once the other one adds Wallu. Your link and referral count are in the panel. Only share it where you're allowed to - spamming servers or users is against our terms.

Running out

When the monthly credits are gone, Wallu says it can't answer right now instead of answering, until the credits reset at the start of the next month (the Ultimate plan keeps answering with the Lite model). Upgrading on the billing page raises the monthly pool right away.

If Wallu suddenly went quiet everywhere, credits are worth checking before anything else - the dashboard shows exactly how much of the month's pool is left.
